My name Statistics Freebie

This freebie is a great activity to use for statistics and exploring classroom data on letters in a name. This activity has two parts - the first being strips of paper for students to write their name and use to build a graph of classrooms names. From here you can explore the data, look at similarities, form statements and begin a conversation about statistical concepts. The second is a my name statistics follow up that can practice some simple mathematical skills to support the lesson and letters in their name. 

This would make a great whole classroom activity and can be extended or differentiated to support your classroom learners.
