Fluid Foundations Basic Facts Resource

This resource was designed to support your basic facts programme for Year 0-3 learners or Phase One of the NZ curriculum. This is aligned to the new new version in October 2025, and includes learning to support the knowledge and practices that appear in those four levels. 

Fluid Foundations Basic Facts Resource is just that - a resource to help build and work on foundational basic facts learning in a way that supports your learners. This can be used as a in class programme for students to work on every day, a home learning programme with daily practice or a combination of whatever you need to suit! The digital slides version could be used as daily warm up, hot spot, plenary or daily practice for students to write down on mini whiteboards or in their books. This could be in combination with their printable option, in place of or both!

This resource includes:

•  information sheets, practice sheets and test printables for each basic fact target of learning
• set of year group slides for digital use instead of printables
• Google Sheets tracker for keeping track of classroom learning 
• year group cover sheet and achievement page

This includes resources only for Year 0-3 with Phase Two (Year 4-6) and Phase Three (Year 7-8) coming soon. 

Year 0 has 8 basic facts or targets. 
Year 1 has 14 basic facts or targets. 
Year 2 has 18 basic facts or targets. 
Year 3 has 17 basic facts or targets.
