This sounds and phonics assessment was creating for a teacher and school looking for an assessment to be able to document and gather what individual sounds students know in both decoding and encoding opportunities. This is not a formalised summative assessment but something to help you build awareness with what sounds students know, name and can recognise.
This incorporates relevant and used structured literacy programme sounds as a 'best fit' to give coverage but also a quick check in or starting point.
This is broken down into four sections of sounds and include a teacher answer sheet to check off, student sound sheets for saying the sounds and student recording sheets for your encoding of the sounds.
