Did you SMASH your writing? (older version)

This writing acronym prompt is the perfect way to build and enhance focus, self-checking and goals with writers! I love getting kids pumped and engaged in their writing that is happening - especially when they are aware of their success criteria or learning outcomes they can work on in their writing.

SMASH stands for:

• S - spelling and sounds
• M - many organised ideas
• A - adding interest
• S - stretchy sentences
• H - have you proof read?

This is a second version that can be used as a follow up after the original. This includes more complicated ideas for writing - a progression step after.
